Unbalance protection

An alarm occurs when the unbalance voltage exceeds the unbalance margin.
The difference between the maximum and minimum cell voltages for the terminals whose UB check box under Protection is selected is the unbalance voltage. The unbalance voltage is detected approximately 0.1 second after the cell voltage measurement completes. If the charge / discharge voltage fluctuates greatly (the internal voltage of the DUT is high), this function may not operate correctly. If the measured voltages are different or sensing cables are not connected to both ends of the cells, this function will not operate correctly.

Maximum cell voltage and minimum cell voltage

Maximum cell voltage: Voltage of the cell terminal with the maximum voltage among the cell terminals in the group.

Minimum cell voltage: Voltage of the cell terminal with the minimum voltage among the cell terminals in the group.

The difference between the maximum and minimum cell voltages is the unbalance voltage.

Cell CV control

Cell voltages (measured value) in the group are compared to the cell CV voltages (control target values) set in each profile, and the charge/discharge current is controlled so that the cell voltages (measured values) are equal to the CV voltages (control target values).
Cell CV control is based on software. Because the control speed is slow, it cannot be used to control DUTs whose load changes drastically (such as a DUT whose current line is opened during charging/discharging). This is applicable to DUTs whose internal impedance is 500 mΩ or less.

Cell CV charge: The cell with the highest voltage among the voltage measurement terminals in the group is controlled so that it does not exceed the cell CV voltage.

Cell CV discharge: The cell with the lowest voltage among the voltage measurement terminals in the group is controlled so that it does not fall below the cell CV voltage.

Cell CV charge/discharge: The cells with the lowest and the highest voltages among the voltage measurement terminals in the group are controlled so that they do not exceed or fall below the upper and lower limits of the cell CV voltage (cell CV voltage (charge) and cell CV voltage (discharge) are set in a pattern profile).
